Hi, I’m Maisie – the founder of Mais Nails Nail Studio & Refine Training Academy.

My journey into the nail industry started during lockdown with nothing more than a gel lamp and a few polishes. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and before I knew it, I was building a fully booked client base while still in sixth form and working evenings as a carer.

After finishing my A-levels, I opened my first salon just days later, and since then I’ve continued to grow and evolve the business into a larger, purpose-built space focused on creating a luxury, calming experience for every client.

As my business developed, I became increasingly passionate about education. I saw first-hand how many courses lacked depth, clarity, and real understanding – often teaching how to do something, but not why. That’s where my approach is different.

I’ve completed professional teacher training and gained a diploma in education, allowing me to deliver courses that are not only practical, but structured, detailed, and easy to understand. My goal is to ensure every student leaves feeling confident, capable, and fully prepared to work within the industry.

Having grown my business organically, without paid advertising, I also understand what it truly takes to succeed. I don’t just teach nails – I share the knowledge, standards, and mindset needed to build something long-term.
